My daughter has a Gazebo like this one. I added several grommets along the lower edge where water would pool. Will see if it helped this year.
Severely Damaged
Item arrived severely damaged. Multiple dents, twists, bends and paint chips in metal supports. There were 8-10 serious damages in 3 of the supports and many more minor damages. Shipping box is so flimsy that it does not protect heavy items inside during the shipping process. On top of it, had problems returning the item. However, one email to Amazon Customer Service and the return problem was quickly resolved. The item, itself, looked nice and of decent quality, but beware the inadequate shipping box and possible damaged product inside.
Priceless...
I found several negative reviews on this product but have found none of them to be true. It holds up against wind and rain. There are two small draining holes on each side at the base of the roof/cover that allow the rain to drain without creating so much water-weight to avoid collapsing. Very sturdy and has a shelf in each corner to hold up to 50 lbs. Easy set-up & tear-down. Definitely would recommend! We are outside a lot, so it was well worth it for the price - spending quality time under this gazebo with friends and family is priceless!

I am EXTREMELY happy with my gazebo....it is the perfect touch for my back yard. The merchandise was as described and the handling was prompt.
Storm
I enjoyed Parisienne Gazebo for more than 6 month,
but yesterday's storm destroyed it. As other reviewer mentioned,
water collected in a huge bulge in the canvas
so the flimsy metal ribs all bent down. Strong wind
helped to finish the destruction.
So, it was a nice product, I may buy it again next summer,
but will have to remember to remove the canvas before storms.
Updated on November 2009: well, it was not completely destroyed, after all - ribs were bent and one broken. I fixed them with aluminum angles from a hardware store and some scotch tape. Two years later the gazebo still standing well, but now I always remove the canvas before strong storms.
The newer ones are made with waterproof systems that are capable of preventing water buildup thus making it more durable and cost effective. Some patio canopies come with different features such as flexibility and retraction capable, some may even have attachments to close off a particular area.
